The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a substantial cash reward totaling ₹58 crore approximately $6.72 million for Team India following their victory in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
BCCI This bonus is nearly three times the official winner’s purse of $2.24 million awarded by the International Cricket Council (ICC) for the tournament.
In the final held on March 9, 2025 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium India defeated New Zealand by four wickets securing their third Champions Trophy title.
1.Players: Each player will receive ₹3 crore.
2.Head Coach: Head coach Gautam Gambhir will also receive ₹3 crore.
3.Coaching and Support Staff: Each member of the coaching and support staff will be awarded ₹50 lakh.
4.Selection Committee Members: Members of the men’s selection committee will receive ₹25 lakh each.
BCCI President Roger Binny commented on the team’s achievement stating “Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special and this reward recognizes Team India’s dedication and excellence on the global stage.”
This victory marks India’s second consecutive global title following their Twenty20 World Cup triumph last year underscoring the team’s dominance in limited-overs cricket.
